This is the same garlic we ship alongside our purple garlic, and we've got more of it than we need, so it's priced to move. Each bulb breaks into a bunch of cloves, and every clove you plant grows into a full new bulb by next summer.

Softneck garlic does best where winters are mild, and it stores longer than hardneck once it's cured. Plant now through early winter, about 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart, pointy end up. Harvest when the bottom leaves start to brown.

3 lb is plenty for a good home garden bed. 6 lb is for bigger plots, market growers, or anyone who wants a year of garlic. And if you'd rather cook with it, it's good eating garlic too.
