Product description
- Harlequin Flower Mix (Sparaxis tricolor) welcomes summer with a jewel tone display of colorful flowers. In shades of lavender, red, orange, white and yellow, the throats are bright yellow etched in black, giving it its common name.
- Also known as Wandflower, Harlequin Flowers are grown from corms, and each corm produces loose spikes of up to 5 star-shaped 2" flowers.
-A South African native, it’s hardy in zones 9-10 and 7-8 with some winter protection. It naturalizes well and will spread over the years to form a richly colored mat. In cooler zones, many grow it as an annual, or lift the corms and save in a frost-free place.
-Happy in full sun, plant it along borders, in a rock garden, or anyplace its bright, unusual flowers can be appreciated.
-Drought tolerant, water freely during flower growth, but it’s not fussy and will do well with minimal care. Sparaxis flowers make lovely cut flowers as well. After flowering, cut back stems and let the foliage die back naturally. 6-12" tall x 3-5" wide.
